About HACKIIITV


HACKIIITV is a free intra college hackathon, hosted by the Technical Committee of IIIT Vadodara. It will be conducted over a duration of 48 hours, hackers are immersed in tech culture and are encouraged to exercise their imagination to create interesting and innovative hacks for the given themes. We want this HACKIIITV to be an inclusive environment where you can learn new things, meet new people, and receive support!

A team can contain 3-5 members

The teams must only consist of students of IIITV

No cross-campus teams will be allowed i.e., students of IIITV (Gandhinagar Campus) will not be allowed to form teams with students of IIITV ICD(Diu Campus)

No team can collaborate with any other team, if found, it will lead to disqualification

The project must follow one of the given themes

Each team must present their ideas formally in the form of video to the judges after the 48-hour hack time, for Round 1

What is a hackathon and who can participate in HACKIIITV?

Hackathon is an event in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming, number of problems or themes are provided and the teams try to think of some innovative solutions for those problems and try to implement them. Everyone currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or program in IIIT Vadodara is eligible to take part.


What can be the size of the team?

The size of team can range from a team of 3 to 5 members. A person can be a member of only one team.


How are the projects judged and how many rounds will be there?

The final projects will go through 2 rounds, where the first round will take the creativity as well as the implementation of the projects. While in the second round professionals will be the judge of your projects, where the practicality, usefulness, effects to the society, originality and various other aspects will also be considered. However hackathons are a place to learn while enjoying so don’t worry about such things and do your best.


Are there any things one should know beforehand in order to participate in HACKIIITV?

Hackathons are not only competitions but a way to learn from other participants and mentors, one can take part in one without any prior knowledge and come out with skills in various fields which happens due to the competitive environment of a hackathon, so there are no such prerequisites in a HACKIIITV.
